Get started in six steps, then run your front desk from Today

A guided setup gets a new project ready before the first visitor arrives, and Today gives your front desk a live view of who's on site, who's expected and who's left.

Get started in six steps, then run your front desk from Today

Two new parts of the dashboard make GuestTrack quicker to set up and easier to run every day.

Get started: a guided setup

New projects now open on Get started, which walks you through six steps:

  1. Purpose: tell us how you'll use GuestTrack (office, community club, contractor site, event, warehouse gate).
  2. Form: choose what visitors fill in.
  3. Entry point: a printed QR code, or a Welcome Screen on a tablet.
  4. Test as a visitor: open the check-in page and try it yourself.
  5. Share: put your QR code where visitors will see it.
  6. First real visitor: see your first check-in arrive.

Your progress is saved as you go, and you can finish setup before your first real visitor turns up. When you create a project you only need to give it a name, and you can choose a plan straight away or start with the free trial.

Today: a live front-desk view

Today shows what's happening at your site right now:

  • On site now: everyone who has checked in and hasn't left, with a one-tap Check out.
  • Expected today: pre-registered guests, with a one-tap Check in.
  • Check someone in: staff can check a visitor in using the project's own check-in form.
  • Undo: every action can be reversed with one tap.

Today adapts to your scenario: office and reception, community and clubs, contractor and site, events, or warehouse and logistics gates. For events, dates follow the venue's time zone and Today shows the registered list before the event starts.

Already using GuestTrack? Open Visitor Records and choose a scenario in the banner to turn on Today. Your form, fields and records stay exactly as they are.

Optional ID checks

Gates and front desks that need to see ID can turn on Check ID. It's off by default. Staff confirm an ID with one tap, and GuestTrack records who checked it and when. If visitors upload a photo of their ID, staff can preview it before confirming or rejecting.

Also new

  • File or photo upload: add a field to your check-in form so visitors can upload a file or photo.
