Visitor kiosk

Turn any tablet, even an old phone, into a visitor kiosk.

Open a link on an iPad, an Android tablet or a phone. No kiosk app, no hardware to buy, no IT. It signs people in and out, lets staff badge through, and tidies up after every visitor, on its own.

Included in every paid plan, after a 14-day free trial.

iPad or Android tablet
A spare phone
  • No kiosk app to install
  • No special tablet or stand
  • No charge per screen
  • Ready in about two minutes

Set up in three steps

The screen you hold up is the kiosk. Nothing to download, nothing to pair.

  1. Scan to open

In Check-in Setup, open Welcome Screen and scan its code with the tablet or phone. Add it to the home screen to open it in one tap.

  2. Make it yours

Your logo, your name, your own background photos. Set a four-digit PIN so only staff can leave the screen.

  3. Stand it at the door

Landscape or portrait, on a stand, a wall mount or the counter. One screen per entrance, or several.

Four ways through the door

Whoever walks up, the kiosk has a button for them.

Check in

Your own form: declarations, signatures, photos, induction numbers.

Check out

One tap on the way out, so you always know who is still on site.

Badge or booking

Staff and members scan their badge. Invited guests show their code, or type their mobile number. On Growth and Portfolio.

Their own phone

The screen shows a QR code, so a queue never forms and nobody has to touch a shared screen.

A day at the door, with nobody at the desk

One tablet at Harbourline Head Office, a demo project with made-up visitors. It looks after every visitor, and after itself.

  1. 7:42 am

Sam badges in and keeps walking

The scanner was already open. GuestTrack saw Sam hadn't checked in today, so it checked him in. No button, no queue.

    Badge stand mode
  2. 9:15 am

    Priya was expected

She holds up the code from her invite, saved in Apple or Google Wallet. No phone to hand? She types her mobile number instead.

    Invites and bookings
  3. 11:03 am

    A courier gives up halfway

He starts the form, then leaves to fetch a parcel. After a minute without a touch the form closes, so nobody else ever sees his details.

    Tidies up after a minute
No touch for a minute? The form closes.
  4. 1:30 pm

A curious kid tries to escape the screen

Leaving the kiosk needs the four-digit PIN. Back to the welcome screen it goes.

    PIN lock
  5. 5:05 pm

    Sam badges out

Same badge, same stand. This time GuestTrack checks him out, and Today shows one less person on site.

Questions

Which devices work?
Any iPad, Android tablet or phone with an up-to-date browser such as Safari or Chrome. A laptop works too.
Do I need to install an app?
No. The kiosk is a web page. Add it to the home screen and it opens full screen.
Can I have a kiosk at every entrance?
Yes. Each kiosk belongs to a check-in point, so every record shows which door the visitor came through.
Where is it in my dashboard?
Check-in Setup → Welcome Screen. It is also one tap away from Today and the check-in desk.

Find a tablet. You're done.
